A Manchester United first-team player has reportedly moved into a house formerly owned by legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ferguson listed his luxury mansion, in Wilmslow, Cheshire, up for sale in November 2023 shortly after the death of his wife Cathy.
The Scot's initial asking price stood at £3.5 million but, according to the Daily Mail, he cut the asking price by around £250,000.
An unknown buyer was found in April 2024, with the final sale price reportedly standing at around £3.25 million.

The mansion was described by estate agents as 'deceptively spacious' on one of Cheshire's most 'desirable' roads, as well as 'boast[ing] approximately 7000 sq ft.'
While the identity of the new owner remains clear, the luxury house has been rented out to current Manchester United defender Ayden Heaven.

That's according to The Sun, who report that the 19-year-old has moved into the home with his mother after establishing himself in the first team at Old Trafford.

"Ayden knows the house belongs to Sir Alex so will be on his best behaviour," a source told the outlet.
"He is a sensible lad and has his mum living with him too to help him focus on his football."
According to Capology, Heaven is the joint-lowest earning player that has made a first-team appearance for United this season.
He is said to earn £25,000-per-week, which is the same amount as Kobbie Mainoo - though The Athletic claim that Mainoo is instead on around £20,000.

He has made 17 appearances for United in all competitions since signing from Arsenal for around £1 million in February 2024.
Heaven is not the only player to have moved into a house owned by a current or former Premier League manager.
In 2018, Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk rented a property in Cheshire owned by ex-United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Van Dijk's former Reds manager Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, rented a house in Formby from previous boss Brendan Rodgers.

Solskjaer could be back at United in the coming days, having held talks over returning to the club as interim manager following the sacking of Ruben Amorim.
Michael Carrick has also formally discussed the role with United's minority owners INEOS, who have come in for significant criticism after sacking two managers in the space of 15 months.

Once a new boss is installed in the summer of 2026, United will have been through four different managers since Sir Jim Ratcliffe arrived at the club in January 2024.
