Manchester United have agreed a deal for Antony to leave the club on a permanent transfer - but fans have spotted a major problem.
The Brazil winger spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Spanish side Real Betis.
He significantly impressed in Spain but was placed in Manchester United's 'bomb squad' upon his return by Ruben Amorim.

Antony did not feature in United's pre-season matches and was not named in the matchday squad for any of their opening three fixtures of the season.
With under 72 hours left of the transfer window, they have finally come to a resolution over the Brazilian's future.
That's according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth, who reports that United have accepted a permanent offer for Antony from Betis.
The winger will now travel to Betis to finalise the move, and will need to agree personal terms with Manuel Pellegrini's side.

The Spanish side initially walked away from a move for the 25-year-old earlier in the window, but have re-opened negotiations in recent days.
However, fans have spotted more than one major problem with the deal.
The Red Devils are guaranteed to make a significant loss on the guaranteed £81.3 million they paid Ajax to sign Antony in 2023 when Erik ten Hag was in charge.

That fee could have climbed to £85.5 million with add-ons, though it is unclear if the full criteria was met.
According to The Athletic, United have agreed a deal worth just £21.6 million to sell Antony - meaning a loss of around £60 million on their initial investment.
He scored nine goals and five assists during his six-month stay at Betis and spoke positively about his move to Spain.
However, the same outlet reports that, with personal terms not yet agreed, Betis want United to reach an agreement with Antony that would cover a reported €4 million (around £3.5 million) shortfall in wages that he would miss out on if he signs a contract with the Spanish club.
The Brazilian signed a four-year deal with United back in 2023, which still has two years left to run.

It is claimed that United's stance is that they are 'hoping that the two sides and the player can meet in the middle to allow the deal to proceed' before the transfer deadline.
Regardless, it appears to be another United transfer saga that Amorim and the club's supporters could doubtless do without as the deadline edges ever nearer.
