A study has compared Andre Onana, Aaron Ramsdale, Ederson and Nick Pope against each other and there's a clear winner.

Onana, Ramsdale, Ederson and Pope will be representing Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Newcastle United respectively in next season's Champions League.

Ederson and Onana are experienced Champions League campaigners, having played in Europe's premier club competition for several years.

As for England internationals Ramsdale and Pope, it will be their first foray into the Champions League.

Ederson, Ramsdale and Pope are among the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, while Man United will be hoping Onana can become one of the best stoppers in England's top flight.

The Cameroonian starred at Inter Milan last season and played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, with the pair reunited ahead of the 2023/24 season.

But how do they compare against each other? Well, a study has measured the Premier League stars in a study, seemingly revealing a winner.

Based on their 'Opta Performance Index' rating, the new Man United recruit comes out on top ahead of Pope, Ederson and Ramsdale.

Of course, the numbers factored in have been sampled from Italy's Serie A while Pope, Ederson and Ramsdale performed in the Premier League.

The comparison also highlights Onana's stellar distribution as he boasts 47.3 touches per 90 minutes, 38 'Passes Attempted', a score of 13.8 'Long Passes Attempted' and a higher 'Chances Created' score.

Pope, who has an 'Opta Performance' Index rating of 1.8, excels in 'Ball Recoveries'.

The Brazilian has an 'Opta Performance Index' rating of 1.5 and boasts an impressive 84.4 per cent 'Pass Accuracy' and a 'Long Pass Accuracy' of 52.75 per cent and, unlike the other goalkeepers, has an assist to his name.

The Gunners star, meanwhile, has a 'Opta Performance Index' rating of 1.4 and has a 100 per cent 'Aerial Duel Success' and 100 per cent 'Ground Duel Success'.
