Comparing Liverpool target Dominik Szoboszlai to current Premier League stars makes for fascinating reading.

The RB Leipzig midfielder wants to join Liverpool, who have met with the representatives of the player ahead of a summer transfer.

Szoboszlai comes with a big reputation, having starred in the Bundesliga as he was involved in 163 open play shot-ending sequences last season - 49 shots, 48 chances created and 66 in the build-up.

His highlights make for brilliant viewing, with Liverpool fans online excited over the potential addition of the 22-year-old Hungarian.

But how does he compare against the likes of Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne, Arsenal's Martin Odegaard and Manchester United's Bruno Fernandes?

Not to mention James Maddison, who has sealed a switch to Tottenham from Leicester City.

Well, based on 'Opta Performance Index' rating, Szoboszlai ranks the best ahead of De Bruyne and Maddison.

He also had the most touches per 90 minutes. He also boasts a greater 'Passes Attempted' and a higher percentage of 'Long Pass Accuracy' and 'Crossing Accuracy'.

Only Maddison has a better 'Ground Duel Success' rating and only Fernandes has recovered the ball more than him.

Of course, Szoboszlai registered his numbers in Germany's top flight. It'll be a different ball game to shine in the Premier League.

De Bruyne, who starred as Man City won a famous treble last season, excelled in 'Goals from Outside the Box', 'Assists', 'Chances Created', 'Crosses Attempted', 'Through Balls Attempted' and 'Take-on Success'.

Odegaard, who also enjoyed a brilliant campaign at Arsenal last season, scored the most league goals out of his rivals. He also had the highest percentage of 'Pass Accuracy'.
