Fan footage of Scott McTominay reacting to Manchester United's dramatic 4-3 win over Liverpool has emerged online – and fans they've worked out what he said.

It was an afternoon to remember for United as goals from McTominay, Antony, Marcus Rashford and a last-minute winner from Amad Diallo sealed their place in the FA Cup semi-finals.

Diallo, who has previously voiced his frustration over a lack of first-team minutes this season, beat Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher with a strike that sent Old Trafford into pandemonium.

Moments after the Ivorian's winning goal, referee John Brooks blew the full-time whistle and more than 60,000 home fans celebrated victory with a deafening roar.

McTominay, who is United's second top scorer this season with nine goals, also marked the occasion by hugging goalkeeper Andre Onana.

In fact, fans reckon the Scotland international directed a not-so-subtle message towards the Liverpool support as he celebrated.

Here how fans on social media reacted to the footage.

One said: "Scott McTominay saying f*** you to the Liverpool fans and Andre Onana giving it back after he (no doubt) copped it all second half and in extra time. Love that, these videos are so good."

A second wrote: "McTominay with a cheeky “f*** you” to Liverpool fans. You love to see it," while a third commented: "He’s a true Mancunian."

A fourth added: "McTominay not holding back on the scousers after the game winning goal."

After the full-time whistle, former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane praised McTominay for his assist in extra-time.

Speaking to ITV, he said: "The key here is the weight of the pass [from McTominay] It has to be perfect.

"Rashford is only going to get a one-touch finish. It looks so simple but we saw Liverpool get it wrong."

Erik ten Hag, meanwhile, paid tribute to his team's “resilience" and "determination” to come from behind.

"The first 35 minutes, we showed again that the future of this team is very bright," he said.

"There is huge potential. We have to get it out and get consistency. The first 35 minutes was very pleasing. They are great characters and the determination we see again.

“Players who are developing and progressing very well, like [Diogo] Dalot, Kobbie [Mainoo] again today, [Alejandro] Garnacho. I can mention more players who did fantastic. A very good job and you can see the potential.

"The team showed resilience and determination to win this game. We've had so many setbacks. We are very strong mentally.”
