Man City dealt triple blow ahead of Aston Villa clash that could help Liverpool and Arsenal

Pep Guardiola will be without three key players for their league game against Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Manchester City have been dealt a TRIPLE injury blow ahead of their crucial Premier League clash against Aston Villa.

Man City were held to a goalless draw at home to Arsenal last Sunday.

The draw at the Etihad leaves them in third place in the table, one point behind Arsenal and a further three points adrift of league leaders Liverpool, who beat Brighton 2-1 over the weekend.

The Blues resume their league campaign on Wednesday they host Aston Villa, who returned to the win column in the league with a 2-0 victory over Wolves.

And ahead of taking on Unai Emery's side, Pep Guardiola will be without THREE key players.

He has confirmed that Ederson, Kyle Walker and Nathan Ake are not available against Villa.

Ederson and Walker didn't feature against Arsenal while Ake was forced off in the first-half.

Asked about the extent of Ake's injury, Guardiola replied: "I don't know. For sure the next games he will not be ready."

On the Dutch defender, he added: "Injured. Hopefully he will be back soon.

"I don’t know exactly the timing. Next game he won’t be ready."

However, John Stones could be involved for Man City against Aston Villa, having not played against Arsenal.

"John maybe, the other two no chance," he added, as he referenced Ederson and Walker.

Man City's triple injury blow against Villa will be greeted with cheers at Liverpool and Arsenal as the three teams battle it out for the league title.

As for Villa, Ollie Watkins, who has scored 16 league goals this season, is ruled out while Jacob Ramsey remains sidelined.

Emery said: "They will not be available for tomorrow. They have small injuries. Jacob Ramsey is not getting better like he wants. We are not in a hurry with him. For tomorrow he will not be available."
