Erling Haaland became the fifth player to record a perfect 10.0 rating on FotMob after the striker scored five goals for Norway in their World Cup qualifier against Moldova.

Norway edged closer to World Cup qualification on Tuesday night as they put 11 goals past Moldova at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo.

Brann midfielder Felix Horn Myhre opened the scoring for Stale Solbakken's side with just six minutes played, before the prolific Haaland netted his first of the evening shortly after.

Haaland would soon complete a 32-minute hat-trick to make it 4-0 before Martin Odegaard gave his side a five-goal advantage at half-time.

It was an evening to remember for Norway, with Solbakken's men going on to record an emphatic 11-1 victory over a fragile Moldova as Manchester City's number nine bagged five goals and two assists.

Haaland, who has now scored 48 goals and five hat-tricks in 45 appearances for his country, became the first Norwegian to score four or more goals in a senior international this century.

And on top of that, he received a rare 10.0 rating from FotMob – an achievement only four other players have achieved in competitive action. (My apologies, Simon 'Miniminter' Minter. Your performance in the 2022 Sidemen Charity Match deserves a mention, though).

The other four FotMob 10.0 ratings

1. Neymar - PSG vs Toulouse (Ligue 1, August 2017)

After notching two goals and two assists for Paris Saint-Germain in their 6-2 win over Toulouse in 2017, Neymar received a 10.0 rating for his efforts.

Thomas Meunier - Belgium vs Gibraltar (World Cup qualifier, August 2017)

Meunier received the elusive 10.0 and became one of the only players to record a perfect score on FotMob after the defender bagged three goals and four assists in Belgium's 9-0 win over Gibraltar.

3. Benoný Breki Andrésson - KR Reykjavík vs HK Kópavogs (Icelandic league, October 2024)

Andresson, who now plays for League One side Stockport County, scored five goals for KR Reykjavík as they recorded an emphatic 7-0 win over HK Kópavogs.

4. Omar Faraj - Degerfors vs Halmstads (Allsvenskan, March 2025)

Faraj netted all five goals as newly promoted Degerfors recorded a 5-0 win over Halmstads in their opening game of the season. Not a bad start to the campaign.

Erling Haaland sends classy message to Moldova goalkeeper

After taking his record to 48 goals in 45 caps for Norway, Haaland spoke to Moldova goalkeeper Cristian Avram after the game.

Avram later revealed what the Manchester City forward said to him, saying: "I spoke to Erling. He said, ‘It’s not my fault,’ and that he just had to keep trying to score because of the goal difference. I understand him."

He added: "Look at me, what can I say? I’m not going to die. I have to stay strong. In a few days, I have another match. But eleven goals is a lot."

Norway remain unbeaten in World Cup qualifying with five wins out of a possible five, while Moldova sit rock bottom of Group I with zero points.
