Real Madrid continue to be at odds with the organisers of the Ballon d'Or after boycotting the ceremony last year, it has been claimed.
At a ceremony in Paris last year, Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri became the 50th Ballon d'Or winner, with Aitana Bonmati winning the female gong and Lamine Yamal picking up the Kopa Trophy in a dominant year for La Roja.
Rodri pipped Real star Vinicius Jr to the award by 41 points after votes from 100 leading journalists in countries all around the world.

Having been made aware that he was not going to be winning, Vinicius led a Los Blancos boycott at the ceremony after reports claimed he had a chartered flight and private party organised.
Real had three players in the top four and also won the Men's Club of the Year, with Carlo Ancelotti taking the Men's Johan Cruyff Trophy.
But despite being the reigning Spanish and European champions, they had no presence at the event - with only a brief congratulations for their Team of the Year win as players put out statements and supportive messages directed to Vinicius.
Real fumed about a lack of "respect"
In response, a Real source is understood to have told AS that "it is obvious that the Ballon d'Or and UEFA do not respect Real Madrid and Real Madrid is not where it is not respected".

Nearly a year on and it does not appear as though bridges have been built between Real and France Football.
In a new report from MARCA, it's claimed France Football "attempted to reestablish relations" with the 15-time European Champions, who have the joint-most Ballon d'Ors with 12.
Recently, a delegation from France Football travelled to Madrid in an attempt to smooth things over but it's said the meetings were "unsuccessful" and the two parties are no closer to coming to an understanding.

It is therefore unclear if Real will be represented in the upcoming ceremony, which takes place at Theatre du Chatelet on 22 September and will be hosted by Ruud Gullit and Kate Abdo.
Ousmane Dembele and Yamal are the leading contenders to win the prize, with Real suffering a rare, trophy-less season.
The report went on to state that amidst the controversy, Ancelotti is still yet to receive his award for being named the best men's coach of the year.
