Manchester City star Erling Haaland has revealed who can be most credited for the 'best form of his life' - and it isn't manager Pep Guardiola.
Haaland scored City's only goal in the ninth minute of their 1-0 win over Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday.
He ran on to Josko Gvardiol's lofted through ball before holding off defender Sepp van den Berg and firing his shot beyond Caoimhin Kelleher in the Brentford goal.

It is already Haaland's 12th goal in all competitions this season, and he has extended his lead at the top of the Premier League goalscoring charts to three.
City have now moved up to fifth place in the Premier League table, and are three points behind leaders Arsenal heading into the latest international break.
Haaland spoke to Sky Sports after the game about his and City's performance, and said he had to give a shoutout to one person - his son.
The Norwegian welcomed his first child with partner Isabel Haugseng Johansen - who formerly played football for Bryne, Haaland's boyhood club - in December 2024.

They have preferred to be private about the birth, with neither as yet publicly announcing his name.
Haaland said: "I've never felt better than I do now, so yes, you can say that [I'm in the form of my life]."
When asked by presenter Mark Chapman as to what was making the difference, he replied: "I think it's about preparation, first of all. Getting ready for the games. I spoke so many times about it before, you can be physically ready, but you need to be mentally ready as well.
"To be honest, I think with a kid, it makes me even better, because I actually disconnect more than ever.
"I don't think of football at all, which sometimes, when are younger, you think about this and that and maybe worry a little bit about things.

"But when I go home, I relax even more. So I think I need to give a shoutout to my son!"
Micah Richards then asked Haaland about what he was eating, to which he said: "It will come soon on YouTube. Give it two weeks, two weeks' time, and you'll see.
