Manchester City have released a strongly-worded statement after a mischievous barman was spotted serving drinks in a Manchester United shirt during Sunday's derby.
Ahead of kick-off, a disgruntled City fan took to social media after witnessing a member of staff at the Etihad unzip his jacket to reveal a blue United jersey, according to The Mirror.
As seen in the post below, the man wrote: "Absolute joke @ManCity - letting one of the bar staff in block 315 wear a United shirt on Derby Day #mcfc."
He added: "He shouldn’t be wearing it - it’s only going to cause trouble!"

After sharing a picture of the barman serving an Asahi beer, plenty of fans reacted to the scenes.
One said: "The only man in a United shirt that’s put in a decent performance at the Etihad today," while another commented: "This lad should never have to buy a beer in town again."
City soon caught wind of the viral post, and at 4:20pm on Sunday, they issued a statement on their Fan Support page to confirm that the barman had been dismissed from his role.

It read: "Thank you for making us aware of this. We can confirm that this individual has now been removed from their position."
Away from the concourse and it was an afternoon to forget for Ruben Amorim's side, as goals from Phil Foden and Erling Haaland (2) sealed a relatively straightforward 3-0 win for the home side.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Amorim gave his honest assessment of the game.
“In these kind of games we need to be perfect, and we weren’t perfect," he said.

"If you look at the goals, we can avoid them. We suffer goals that we can avoid. We can do better, that is clear – like the first goal, we can be more aggressive. The frustration is there."

"We need to take our chances," added Amorim. "We need to work on a lot of things. The biggest difference is where we had transitions, we couldn’t score.”

“We want to be close enough in February and March to fight for the title but this period was important," he said, as per NBC Sports.
"Our players have a lot of pride and they wanted to try to do better on a special day. Our walk in front of the fans to see them so happy, our job is such a privilege."
Guardiola added: "We have many things to improve. We are not a team but step-by-step the victories help a lot.”
