Steven Gerrard has weighed in with his thoughts on Liverpool strengthening their squad with big money signings like Florian Wirtz after winning a 20th league title.
Liverpool will lift the Premier League title in front of their own supporters for the first time on Sunday afternoon following their visit of Crystal Palace at Anfield.
But already the Reds are moving quickly with plans for next season. Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk have signed new contracts, unlike Trent Alexander-Arnold - who is set to end his 20-year association and join Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Yet, in a polar opposite approach to the first summer under Arne Slot, Liverpool are set to welcome a number of new arrivals.
Giorgi Mamardashvili will challenge Alisson Becker for the No.1 spot after agreeing to join around a year ago, while a deal for Jeremie Frimpong is said to be awaiting an official announcement.
Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez is also a top target being pursued, while Liverpool look set to make a major statement of intent by securing the services of another Leverkusen player in Florian Wirtz, who was heavily courted by Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

Liverpool are clearly pushing to strengthen while on top and former skipper Gerrard supports their approach.
"How are they going to make the squad capable of dominating? Because it’s not easy," Gerrard said on an episode of The Reds Roundtable for the club's official YouTube channel.
"Everyone else is going to strengthen. Look at PSG, the level they have gone to so quickly," Gerrard continued.
"[It’s a] big summer to make sure we are ready to compete for everything again next year. That’s Liverpool Football Club; it’s all about what’s in the pipeline."

As well as reaching the Carabao Cup final, Liverpool topped the inaugural Champions League table with 21 points from eight games, suffering just a single defeat.
But they were knocked out in the round of 16 by a talented Paris Saint-Germain side who look to finally deliver the Champions League trophy when they take on Inter Milan in Saturday's final in Munich.
Liverpool will hope that a serious spending spree will help create a squad which is well-placed to defend the Premier League title next term, as well as compete on all fronts with multiple competitions.
