The top 50 British stadiums have been ranked – and the ground that captured the top spot may surprise you.

Football stadiums are part of a club’s makeup. Years of history and thousands of memories have been created within each ground.

Of course, ranking the ‘best’ stadium is entirely based on opinion.

You may like modern architecture associated with multi-purpose stadiums such as West Ham United’s London Stadium or Spurs’ Tottenham Stadium.

Or you may prefer the classic purpose-built style that can be seen at Everton’s Goodison Park or Aston Villa’s Villa Park.

Your choice may not even be based on the way a stadium looks.

For example, Blackburn Rovers fans will absolutely love Anfield because they lifted the Premier League trophy there back in 1994.

Manchester City fans will forever have an affinity with Southampton’s St. Mary’s, as it was the ground where City reached the historic feat of 100 points back in 2018.

But in 2023, FourFourTwo ranked the 50 best British stadiums based on ‘matchday experience’. Can you guess what number one is?
