Mohamed Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, has taken to social media to issue an update on the player’s future after the forward confirmed he will leave Liverpool at the end of the 2025/26 season.
Salah, 33, confirmed via a social media video that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the current campaign, bringing a nine-year spell at Anfield to a close.
The forward, who signed from Roma in 2017, is widely considered one of the club’s greatest-ever players and sits third on the list of Liverpool’s all-time top goalscorers, trailing only Ian Rush and Roger Hunt.
The Egypt international’s 255 Liverpool goals have helped the Reds win two Premier League titles, the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup and two League Cups, as well as the FA Community Shield.

In an emotional farewell video, Salah said: “Unfortunately, the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell. I will be leaving Liverpool at the end of the season.
“I wanted to start by saying that I never imagined how deeply this club, this city and these people would become part of my life.
“Liverpool is not just a football club. It’s a passion, it’s a history, it’s a spirit I can’t explain in words to anyone not part of this club.
“We celebrated victory together, we won the most important trophies and we fought together through the hardest times in our lives.”
Focusing on the support of the fans, he added: “I don’t have enough words. The support you showed me, through the best time in my career and the toughest time – it’s something I will never forget. I will take it with me always.
“Leaving is never easy. You gave me the best time of my life. I will always be one of you.
“Because of all of you, I will never walk alone.”

But the question remains: what comes next?
At 33, and still in excellent physical condition, Salah could arguably still do a job for the best teams in Europe.
And despite long-time links with a move to the Saudi Pro League and more recent rumours of a switch to MLS, his agent has claimed that he does not know where Salah will be playing next season.
Posting on X, Issa wrote: “We do not know where Mohamed will play next season. This also means that no one else knows. Beware of the click-whoring attention seekers.”
Liverpool are next in action on 4 April, when they travel to Manchester City for an FA Cup quarter-final clash.
