Liverpool experienced the euphoric feeling of being crowned Premier League champions for the second time but the club have been dealt a blow in the transfer market, it has been reported.

After Arsenal dropped points at home to Crystal Palace on Wednesday, Liverpool had the chance to clinch the league against Spurs at Anfield on Sunday and didn't pass up the opportunity.

The Reds went 1-0 down but thrashed Ange Postecoglou's men 5-1 to seal Liverpool's 20th league title and ensure their fans were present to witness it.

Arne Slot became the fifth manager to win the Premier League in his first season in England but hours after the triumph, Spanish outlet MARCA dropped a transfer bombshell.

Real are keen on top Liverpool target Milos Kerkez, who has had an excellent season at Bournemouth.

It's said the 21-year-old, formerly of AC Milan and AZ Alkmaar, "fits into Real Madrid's strategy of paying attention to young talents" and has been "under the radar" for a number of weeks now.

Bournemouth paid £15 million to sign Kerkez in 2023 but reports say they will a demand a fee of £45 million for the Hungary international.

Milos Kerkez reacted to Liverpool's Premier League title win

Kerkez has been heavily linked with Liverpool as they look for a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson and the defender commented on the club's title triumph.

He took to social media to congratulate compatriot Dominik Szoboszlai on becoming the first Hungarian to win the Premier League.
