Liverpool have announced a major departure just days after lifting the Premier League trophy as an official statement has been released.
Liverpool won this season's Premier League title in Arne Slot's debut campaign after replacing Jurgen Klopp.
They finished 10 points clear of Arsenal and celebrated their latest English league title on the final day of the season before taking to the streets of Liverpool for their parade.

Ahead of the new campaign, Slot will be on the hunt for a new assistant coach.
That's because John Heitinga has officially departed Anfield to take up the role of Ajax head coach.
A Liverpool statement read: "Liverpool FC can confirm John Heitinga is to depart the club to take up the role of Ajax head coach.
"The 41-year-old leaves the Reds after one season in the backroom team, operating as assistant coach to Arne Slot.

"He now assumes a position in charge of former club Ajax in his native Netherlands.
"John leaves with our gratitude and appreciation for his role in our 2024-25 Premier League title win."

Heitinga, who played in the Premier League as a player, joined Slot's backroom staff last summer, having had a similar role at West Ham United under David Moyes.

The 41-year-old returns to Ajax as their head coach, having played for the club after graduating from their famed youth academy.
He made his name at Ajax before joining Atletico Madrid. The Dutchman returned to the club before calling time on his career.
Heitinga has already taken charge of Ajax, having been appointed on an interim basis in January 2023 for the remainder of the season.
After penning a deal until June 2027, he said: "I am incredibly excited to start. The last years in England have done me a lot of good. I've been able to develop further alongside David Moyes and Arne Slot, while also getting a behind-the-scenes look at two major clubs. I’m ready to continue as a head coach and I'm honoured to be given that opportunity at Ajax."
