Fabrizio Romano has dropped a huge update on the future of Liverpool star Darwin Nunez.
Ever since the 24/25 season came to an end, the future of Nunez has been one of the main talking points.
This summer, the 26-year-old has been linked with clubs such as Napoli, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, and Al Nassr.
A move has so far failed to materialise due to Liverpool's asking price, which is reportedly in the region of €70 million (£61 million).

However, it looks like Nunez is now edging ever closer to leaving the Anfield club.
As reported by transfer specialist Romano, Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal have made Nunez their priority and are getting closer to sealing the deal.
He wrote on social media: "EXCLUSIVE: Al Hilal are close to getting Darwin Nunez deal done after verbal agreement in place with Liverpool.
"Club to club agreement is done, while Al Hilal are in talks with Darwin over personal terms. Decision up to Nunez but talks underway, Inzaghi wants him."

According to talkSPORT, Al Hilal could get close to Liverpool's asking price of €70 million (£61 million) as financials are 'not thought to be an issue'.
In addition, it has been suggested that current Al Hilal star Aleksandar Mitrovic could leave the club if Nunez arrives.
Nunez first joined Liverpool in a club record deal worth £85 million back in the summer of 2022.

However, the Uruguayan has largely struggled to live up to his huge price tag and has often been criticised for squandering big chances.
In total, Nunez has scored 40 goals in 143 matches across all competitions for the Reds.
On Monday, Nunez scored what could be his final Liverpool goal as Arne Slot's men beat Athletic Bilbao 4-1 in the first of their friendly double header.
The second match between the pair ended with Liverpool winning 3-2.

This impending Nunez deal could boost Liverpool's chances of signing Newcastle United talisman Alexander Isak, who has been heavily linked with the Premier League champions.
However, the Magpies' ongoing search for a new striker has been hampered again as apparent top target Benjamin Sesko appears to be favouring a move to Manchester United.
On Tuesday, it was reported that the Red Devils had tabled a bid of €75 million plus €10 million in add-ons for the Slovenian.

With Sesko seemingly off the wanted list, Newcastle have been linked with the likes of Ollie Watkins, Nicolas Jackson and Yoane Wissa.
