The transfers saga of Benjamin Sesko has taken a fresh twist as a major update has been provided amid interest from Manchester United and Newcastle United.
Sesko has been the subject of intense transfer speculation as Man United and Newcastle circle for the RB Leipzig player.
He's emerged as Man United and Newcastle's No.1 transfer target, having missed out on the likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
Newcastle stepped up their interest with an offer, which was rejected before they tabled an improved bid of £70 million as a fixed fee plus add-ons.

Man United entered with a bid of £74 million, including a guaranteed payment of £65.2 million - which falls short of Newcastle's offer.
The Red Devils discussed including Rasmus Hojlund in the deal but the player wasn't keen on the move, with the idea collapsing.
Sesko has the option of Man United and Newcastle, who are both hellbent on securing his services ahead of the new season.

A new report from Fabrizio Romano has dropped and he's claimed that Sesko 'only wants to join Man United'.
There is now a growing sense of confidence within Man United that the 22-year-old will move to Old Trafford if the two clubs can reach a deal.
On X, Romano wrote: "Understand Manchester United’s feeling from earlier today is even stronger tonight... the club believes Benjamin Sesko only wants to join Manchester United.
"Man United forwarded official contract proposal to Sesko while also keep negotiating with RB Leipzig."

Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg backed up Romano's report by claiming the star forward is 'very likely' to sign for Man United over Newcastle.
Plettenberg said: "There is and was always a feeling that Benjamin Sesko would choose MUFC over all other current options!
"Nothing has changed in recent days. Manchester United’s offer was crucial. If RB Leipzig and Man Utd reach an agreement, it is very likely that #Sesko will join #MUFC."

The deal isn't over the line just yet as Man United's focus is now on trying to reach an agreement with Leipzig as the club believe Sesko is waiting for them.
Man United seemingly pipping Newcastle to Sesko is a clear reminder of their pulling power and global appeal.
Sesko appears set to join Ruben Amorim's side, who can't offer European football unlike Newcastle, who qualified for the Champions League last season.
