Bayern Munich are reportedly considering launching a shock move for one of Liverpool's most important players during the club's Premier League title parade.

On Monday afternoon, Liverpool fans were finally given the opportunity to celebrate the club winning a historic 20th English domestic title as players and staff showed off the Premier League trophy in a bus parade across the city.

Scenes from across Liverpool show the pure euphoria and excitement from the hundreds of thousands of fans that have lined the city's streets to celebrate together.

However, those celebrations could be soured after a report has emerged claiming that European giants Bayern Munich are considering a spectacular move for one of the club's top players.

According to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, the Bundesliga champions have shortlisted Cody Gakpo in their pursuit of a high-profile left winger.

The report claims that Bayern Munich's director of sport Max Eberl is a big fan of the Liverpool star, and has already begun discussions regarding a potential move to Munich.

Although it remains to be seen if Liverpool would sanction a Gakpo's departure, it is believed that he is one of several attacking players that are viewed as a potential departure candidate, should a suitable offer arrive over the summer.

As it stands, the 26-year-old is under contract at Anfield until 2028, meaning any potential offer would likely have to be fairly significant if it is to be considered by Liverpool.

But, Liverpool fans will be happy to hear that the Dutchman is currently only third on Bayern's shortlist of ideal targets, behind both Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma and AC Milan superstar Rafael Leao.

Since joining Dutch side PSV Eindhoven in December 2022, Gakpo has made 128 appearances for the Reds, scoring 41 goals and assisting 17.

Alongside Gakpo, the likes of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Harvey Elliott are all players who could potential be sold by Liverpool in the coming months to make way for new signings over the summer.

Bayer Leverkusen pair Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz are expected to be unveiled as Liverpool's first signings of what is expected to be a busy summer, with a deal for Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez approaching the final stages.
