Alisson Becker’s future at Liverpool remains unclear and a potential swap deal could seal his Anfield exit.
The Brazilian has been a crucial player on Merseyside, solving their long-standing goalkeeping issues following his move from Roma in 2018 for a then world-record fee for a shot stopper.
Alisson has clocked up over 250 appearances but has been plagued by recurring injury issues which have resurfaced this season forcing Arne Slot to call on backup goalkeeper and summer arrival Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Liverpool have already secured Alisson’s future by triggering the one-year extension clause in his deal but links to Juventus and a return to Italy continue to rumble on ahead of the summer window.

Reports suggest Liverpool officials aren’t convinced that Mamardashvili is good enough to be Alisson’s long-term replacement, the 25-year-old has kept just three clean sheets in 16 appearances during his debut campaign in England.
Furthermore, TEAMTalk report that Juventus could tempt Liverpool into letting Alisson go by including a player who has been on their radar in the past.
Liverpool have reportedly tracked Italian international Michele Di Gregorio, who is Juve’s current no.1, and a deal for Alisson could involve the 28-year-old heading to Anfield if Liverpool opt to revive their interest.

Whether Di Gregorio would replace Alisson as Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper or be left to battle with Mamardashvili would remain to be seen. Third-choice goalkeeper Freddie Woodman was forced into action and put in an inspired performance on his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace.
Liverpool have also been linked with a stunning move on their rivals Manchester City for James Trafford who has been forced to settle for a deputy role after re-joining the club from Burnley following the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarumma.
When asked about Alisson’s future, Slot refused to rule out the Brazilian’s departure despite already losing experienced squad members Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson at the end of the season.
“I think the club is run in a certain way and we make decisions that the club thinks are in the best interests of the club,” said Slot.
“And it could mean this is the reason why, it could mean another good argument why we acted how we acted.
“I think the history of all the transfers shows that nothing was done without a purpose or without thinking about it.
“Look, the people who make these decisions take everything into account. They try to make the best decisions with the interest of the club.
“It (experience) is definitely one argument to keep him but there are other arguments. That is a decision the club has to make if that is needed. In the end, he still has one year.”
