Justin Kluivert becomes second player in 21st century to score in each of Europe's top five leagues

The 24-year-old scored for Bournemouth in their Premier League clash against Sheffield United on Saturday.

Justin Kluivert has become the second player in the 21st century to score a goal in each of Europe's top five leagues after finding the net for Bournemouth.

The 24-year-old forward, who joined the Cherries from Roma in June, scored for Andoni Iraola's side in their Premier League clash against struggling Sheffield United on Saturday.

Marcus Tavernier opened the scoring for Bournemouth, who currently sit 16th in the league with three wins from 13 games.

And just before the half-time whistle, boos echoed around Bramall Lane as Kluivert netted his first Premier League goal following a mistake from goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

As a result, the Amsterdam-born forward became the second player in the 21st century to score goals in the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga.

Kluivert, who has already played for seven clubs at the age of 24, has previously netted for Roma, RB Leipzig, OGC Nice and Valencia.

The other player to have scored in all five of European football's top leagues is Stevan Jovetic

The 34-year-old striker, who currently plays at Super League Greece side Olympiacos, netted 11 goals in 44 appearances for current Premier League champions Manchester City.

He also notched 41 goals 21 assists across four seasons in Florence with Serie A club Fiorentina, and scored six times for Sevilla during a brief loan spell in Spain's top flight.

Montenegro captain Jovetic, who also played in the Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin, where he bagged 10 goals in 35 games, also enjoyed a four-year spell at Ligue 1 side AS Monaco, scoring 18 times in total.

Kluivert, meanwhile, is determined to make his move to Bournemouth work after being somewhat of a journeyman in recent years.

Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola recently praised the Dutch forward.

“He (Kluivert) is doing really well," he told The Athletic. "It helps that he speaks the language. He even speaks in Spanish, which means he can also communicate perfectly with me.

"He is used to playing in different leagues as well so it has been pretty easy for him to settle in. He knows he has to take every chance.”
