Arsenal can help fund Chelsea’s bid for Victor Osimhen courtesy of a smart Marina Granovskaia clause.

As per the Mirror Arsenal are keeping tabs on Crystal Palace and England defender Marc Guehi, with the intention of making a move for the centre back next summer.

Guehi has been outstanding at Palace since securing an £18million move to the south Londoners from Chelsea back in 2021, when the Eagles were managed by Patrick Vieira.

And the 23-year-old’s performances have attracted the interest of the Premier League’s biggest clubs including Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal.

Indeed, the Mirror have claimed that manager Mikel Arteta is driving the Gunners’ interest and that the club are in the driving seat for any future move as things stand.

The publication added that Chelsea are entitled to 25 per cent of any transfer after then-director Marina Granovskaia inserted a sell-on clause into the initial move to Palace.

Indeed, this could see the Blues recoup a significant fee considering it has been widely reported that Palace will want over £60million for the young defender.

Should that be the case, Guehi’s transfer could provide a portion of the funds for the Blues to target Osimhen.

The Nigerian has continued his fine form into this campaign with six goals in his ten appearances so far, but his relationship with the Italian champions has become frayed after the club posted a video last month that appeared to make fun of Osimhen’s penalty miss in a Serie A draw against Bologna.

That bizarre episode comes amid the backdrop of Osimhen not signing a new contract at Napoli, with whom his current deal runs through to the summer of 2025.

Chelsea are among several clubs to have been linked with the striker, while United and Liverpool are also thought to harbour an interest.
