Liam Rosenior will not receive his full compensation amount from the Chelsea board after being sacked following just over three months in charge.
The Englishman had been given a six-and-a-half-year deal as manager of Chelsea; however, he lasted just over three months, not the plan that the Blues’ board will have envisaged upon his appointment.
Fans of the club may be pleased to see the back of Rosenior after the poor end to his tenure as he guided Chelsea to six straight league defeats before being relieved of his duties for the FA Cup semi-final against Leeds United.
There will have been an expectation that he may be entitled to a significant payout due to the long length of his Chelsea deal; however, it appears that he will not receive £24 million in compensation following his sacking.

It has now been reported by the BBC that Chelsea have informed Rosenior that he will not receive a full payout for the remainder of his six-and-a-half-year contract, a deal believed to have been worth around £4 million a year.
While it would have been thought that the rest of his contract would have been paid off, coming to a total of £24 million, it is understood the settlement will be significantly lower than that figure.
The total amount of this compensation will not become available until Chelsea's next set of accounts are published next year, when one-off managerial dismissal costs are typically published on the government website, Companies House.
As the Rosenior era is now over and this payment will be agreed upon between Chelsea and the Englishman, fans will turn their attention to who could be the next manager of the club.
Names linked with the role include Xabi Alonso, after he was released from his contract by Real Madrid earlier this season, and Andoni Iraola, who announced he will leave Bournemouth at the end of the current campaign.
