Bukayo Saka didn't hold back when Premier League legend Thierry Henry asked him if Arsenal will finally beat Manchester City for the English title this season.

Last night Arsenal claimed their first Champions League win of the season as they defeated French Champions Paris Saint-Germain at the Emirates Stadium.

Meanwhile in the Premier League, Arsenal are currently third, one point behind leaders Liverpool and narrowly behind reigning champions Manchester City on goal difference.

And while speaking with Henry on CBS Sports after the Champions League clash on Tuesday, Arsenal captain Saka did not hesitate when asked if he believed his side could finally go all the way in the Premier League this season.

Immediately after the 2-0 home win over PSG, Saka spoke with the Arsenal legend during CBS Sports' post match coverage.

While speaking about the Premier League title race, Henry asked: "Do you think this season is the season for the title? Do you think it is important this year to win the title?"

To which Saka confidently replied: "I don't want to put too much pressure on us but I do think that this is the year.

"I think we've been close the last two years and we're getting closer and this hopefully will be the year."

In both the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons Arsenal finished within touching distance of their first Premier League title since 2004.

Each time they finished behind current defending champions City who have won a record-breaking four Premier League trophies in a row.

But having bolstered their team with signings like Mikel Merino, Riccardo Calafiori and Raheem Sterling, this season could be the perfect time for Arsenal to fully get over the line.

Furthermore, with City under the pressure of the ongoing investigation into their alleged 115 financial breaches of Premier League rules, it is possible that the champions could be distracted this season.

The two clubs have already faced off this season in a dramatic 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium last month that saw John Stones score an injury time equaliser to share the points.

Meanwhile current league leaders Liverpool may struggle to maintain their place on top, after manager Arne Slot admitted that they were yet to face a top Premier League side this season.
