For the first time since joining Arsenal, defender Gabriel Magalhaes delivered a post-match interview in English as he spoke to Amazon Prime reporter Alex Aljoe on Tuesday night.

Gabriel, who joined the Gunners from French side Lille in 2020 for around £27 million, has been one of the club's most consistent performers alongside defensive partner William Saliba.

In fact, after scoring against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday, it emerged that no centre-back in Europe's top five leagues has scored more goals (22) than Gabriel since 2020.

The Brazilian, who has netted against Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United over the years, is showing no signs of slowing down, either.

This season, he has been directly involved in three goals, with Inter Milan's Alessandro Bastoni being the only centre back in Europe's top five leagues to record more goal contributions in all competitions.

As well as his performances on the pitch, Gabriel has delivered off it, too.

The 27-year-old gave his first-ever post-match interview in English on Tuesday night, according to Amazon Prime, who spoke to the Brazil international following their 4-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

As seen in the footage below, Gabriel was asked to sum up the game by reporter Alex Aljoe.

Mikel Arteta singled out four players following Champions League win over Atletico Madrid

Arsenal maintained their unbeaten start to the Champions League league phase thanks to second-half goals from Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Viktor Gyokeres (2).

After the full-time whistle, Mikel Arteta singled out four players – Miles Lewis-Skelly, Gabriel Martinelli, Viktor Gyokeres and Declan Rice – in his post-match interview with Amazon Prime.

Speaking on Lewis-Skelly's assist, he said: "That’s him, that’s his quality, The way he carries the ball, the ability he has to release the ball in the right moment."

He continued: "Martinelli as well, I thought he was superb today. It’s really good to see the impact they had on the team. [I am] delighted [for Gyokeres] as he fully deserved it. The work rate he brings to the team is outstanding.

"We value a lot of things that he does for the team. Hopefully, this is the start of some beautiful sequences."

Arteta added: "[Rice’s set-piece delivery] was superb. We could have scored in the first half – but [we] have that ability to score those types of goals."
