Cristiano Ronaldo looked very embarrassed after hearing journalists shout 'Siu' during his Al Nassr unveiling

Ronaldo was unveiled as an Al Nassr player on Tuesday.

Fans think Cristiano Ronaldo couldn't hide his embarrassment after journalists shouted his iconic 'Siu' catchphrase during his Al Nassr unveiling.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner put pen to paper on a mega-money deal with the Saudi Arabian outfit on Friday.

Ronaldo arrived in the country on Monday for a press conference confirming his signing the following day.

As the event came to a close, several members of the media in attendance at Mrsool Park shouted 'Siu' at Ronaldo. Check it out below.

Ronaldo raised an eyebrow and cracked a smile after hearing his celebration echo around the room.

Despite it being meant as a show of respect for the 37-year-old, many supporters on social media believe Ronaldo wasn't a fan of the chant. Some have suggested it proves Ronaldo knows he's taken a step down after terminating his Manchester United contract via mutual consent last year.

One person commented: "That wasn't embarrassing at all."

Another put: "Absolutely tragic."

Someone said: "When is a press conference not a press conference..."

While a fourth tweeted: "Pure cringe."

Ronaldo confirmed his career in Europe is over during the press conference, admitting he's done all he set out to achieve.

He represented Sporting CP, Manchester United across two spells, Real Madrid and Juventus during a sensational 20-year period.

The Portugal international went on to reveal he received offers from other clubs to stay on the continent, in addition to offers from Brazilian teams.

He said: "I’m so proud to make this decision in my life and football. For me it’s a new challenge I’m glad Al Nassr gave me this new opportunity.

"The welcome yesterday was amazing for me and my family and I’m already proud. When I take my decisions, my family always support me, especially my kids.

"I want to change the mentality of the new generation. I am so proud at making this big decision in my life and my career. My work in Europe is done. I played for all the most important clubs."

Ronaldo is in line to make his debut for the club during Thursday's Saudi Pro League clash with Al Ta’ee. He said it's all down to manager Rudi Garcia, who joked he'd have rather signed Lionel Messi earlier this week.

The 37-year-old added: "For me, I’m really happy to be here and I know the league is competitive. I’ve watched many games. I hope to play after tomorrow if the coach gives me the chance.

"I want to beat a few records here and it’s a good chance to move here. I’ve done it in Europe so it’s normal."
