Arsenal’s Top Earners Ranked, Eddie Nketiah Amongst Highest Earners After New Deal, Bukayo Saka Ranks Low

Arsenal recently announced that Eddie Nketiah has signed a new contract at the club, but where does he and his team mates rank in the club’s list of top earners?

According to The Sun, Nketiah’s new five-year deal takes him from £45,000 per week to £100,000 per week. Which will put him amongst the highest earners at the club.

The Gunners’ top earner currently takes home a cool £200,000 per week, and that belongs to midfielder Thomas Partey. The defensive midfielder is one of the most important players for manager Mikel Arteta. Partey’s absence in the final few games of the 21/22 season handed Tottenham Hotspur a huge boost in the race for top four.

There is a gap between Partey and the next highest earner on the list, Ivorian winger Nicolas Pepe is second as he takes home a reported £140,000 a week. Pepe has been a disappointment since his £72 million move from Lille in 2019.

One surprise is the salary of arguably Arsenal’s best player, Bukayo Saka, who has been at the club since the age of seven and came through the youth ranks to establish himself a regular starter at the club. He currently earns only £30,000 per week, less than the likes of Rob Holding and Cedric Soares.

It has been reported that Arsenal are looking to tie Saka down to a new long term deal. The club are willing to offer more than triple his current wage, with an offer of £125,000 per week believed to be on the table.

🚨 Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Raphinha 🇧🇷 since March – he is one of the possibilities on the list but not the only one: the club is also focused on trying to find an agreement with Bukayo Saka 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 to extend his contract.🔴 #AFC #LUFC

If Arsenal don’t move fast to give Saka a new contract, the talented winger could be tempted by a move away, with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City said to be interested.

According to Sportrac, Salary Sport and The Sun, this is the list of the top earners at Arsenal.

19. Emile Smith Rowe – £20,000-per-week
