Arsenal fans absolutely love the togetherness shown by players during Leicester City win

The Gunners are still top of the Premier League, and their fans think the togetherness in the squad is a major plus, after the weekend's win

Arsenal fans are absolutely buzzing with the togetherness the team showed at the weekend, as they beat Leicester City to keep their lead at the top of the Premier League.

Even with the World Cup in the middle of the season distorting how many games were being played, no one would have expected Arsenal to be top of the league at the end of February.

The Gunners lead over Manchester City is currently at two points, though they have a game in hand, and they're still favourites to win according to a Super Computer's calculations.

After some recent losses, Mikel Arteta's men have hit back with some excellent wins, against Aston Villa and Leicester, with both being the kind of tight win that champions often get through.

During the win on Saturday against the Foxes, Gabriel Martinelli had to be worked on by the physios and fans loved that his teammates all gathered to make sure he was okay, as you can see in the video below.

All nine of the other outfield players can be seen coming together to check up on the Brazilian, who scored the only goal of the game, with only Aaron Ramsdale missing.

Fans were absolutely loving the scene, saying it showed just how together they are in their attempts to win a first league title since 2004.

"Look at that togetherness! Almost the entire Arsenal team are showing love and support to Martinelli when he’s down. It’s beautiful. I love this football club," said one fan.

"The reason arsenal win so much is not only because these guys are good,it’s the togetherness and love for each other such a beautiful thing to see," added a second.

A third exclaimed, "The heart this team has now is massive and the improvement since last year is commendable."

"Saliba asking the physio if his gonna be ok. I love these boys," noted another.

Praising the manager, another supporter posted, "This is what Arteta has created, a family. What we love to see."

And a sixth replied, "This team spirit is unmatched for sure the true sign of togetherness and team spirit can’t wait for Arsenal to win the league they would have deserved it!"

A different supporter did mention that the praise just how far they'd previously fallen, tweeting, "This just emphasises how broken we were to be considering this special."

Others though were pointing out how different the Arsenal players reaction was compared to how Chelsea players reacted to one of their teammates was down injured.

It wasn't all peace, love, holding hands and singing in harmony for the league leaders however, with an argument between two players breaking out.

Viewers noticed that centre backs Gabriel and William Saliba appeared to get in a heated debate at the full time whistle, despite keeping a clean sheet together.

Saliba appeared to push his teammate away after being argued with, although it's not known what they were discussing exactly.

Some might suggest it's a good sign however, comparing it to Casemiro having a go at Bruno Fernandes following Manchester United's Carabao Cup success on Sunday.
