Arsenal Fans Create Brutal New Gary Neville Chant During FA Cup Win

Arsenal fans insulted Gary Neville and came up with a new chant in their 4-1 FA Cup win over Portsmouth on Sunday.

Despite going 1-0 down early on when Colby Bishop struck, Arsenal came from behind to claim a comfortable victory at Fratton Park - with Gabriel Martinelli bagging a hat-trick.

The Brazilian's three-goal haul came days after Neville laid into him for his actions towards Conor Bradley in Thursday's 0-0 draw against Liverpool at the Emirates.

Late on, with Arsenal pushing for a winner, Bradley suffered a nasty knee injury while clearing the ball and immediately lay on the turf in pain.

Feeling he was feigning injury and attempting to time-waste, Martinelli dropped the ball on top of him and pushed the right-back off the pitch - receiving a yellow card for his antics - which riled up Liverpool players.

On commentary for Sky Sports, Neville was unhappy with Martinelli's behaviour, branding him an "idiot" and saying he was surprised Liverpool players didn't "whack" him.

Bradley was stretchered off and is now set to be out for the rest of the season. On Sunday, Arsenal fans sang, "Gary Neville is a w**ker" in response to the former Manchester United captain - as well as chanting, "Gabi, push him off" when Pompey's Makenzie Kirk went down injured in the second half.

Though Neville didn't hold back with his take, Liverpool boss Arne Slot refused to criticise Martinelli, stating, "I am 100% sure that if he knew what the injury might be, then he would never do that".

Martinelli issued apology for Bradley moment

After the game, Martinelli took to Instagram to apologise for his conduct and reveal that he had exchanged messages with Bradley, stressing that he was "deeply sorry" for how he reacted.

He wrote: "Conor and I have messaged and I've already apologised to him. I really didn't understand he was seriously injured in the heat of the moment.

"I want to say I'm deeply sorry for reacting. Sending Conor all my best again for a quick recovery."

Arsenal return to action on Wednesday when they take on Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi final first leg at Stamford Bridge.
