The car that was carrying Anthony Joshua is suspected to have been speeding before it crashed, authorities say, after two other passengers were reported dead.
The crash occurred on a highway in Makun, Ogun State, Nigeria at around 11am local time on Monday.
The car, a Lexus Jeep, struck a stationary truck on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Eyewitness Adeniyi Orojo told Nigerian outlet Punch that two people 'died on the spot'.

Footage posted on social media showed Joshua, who was a passenger in the car, being pulled from the car and into a police vehicle.
Authorities have since confirmed that he suffered minor injuries but is 'fine'.
The 36-year-old, who defeated Jake Paul via knockout on December 19, was taken to hospital for treatment.

A relative of Joshua told BBC News that the boxer was travelling from Lagos to his family home when the crash occurred.
The Federal Road Safety Corps in Nigeria have now confirmed (as per BBC News) that four other adult males were in the car alongside Joshua.
Two adult males were killed in the crash, with two others unhurt.
They add that, following preliminary investigations, the Lexus Jeep involved in the incident was suspected to be travelling 'beyond the legally prescribed speed limit'.
It is said that the car lost control during 'an overtaking manoeuvre' before crashing into the stationary truck which was positioned by the side of the road.
Joshua was taken for 'medical attention' after the crash.

According to BBC News journalist Mayeni Jones, local media have described the expressway on which the accident occurred as 'one of Nigeria's deadliest roads'.
Joshua posted a story to his Instagram account hours before the crash, which showed him playing table tennis.
His promoter, Eddie Hearn, told the Daily Mail that he had been informed about the crash while on a family holiday, adding that he had attempted to contact the 36-year-old and would await more information before commenting further.
