Local police have issued an update on Anthony Joshua's health after he was involved in a fatal car crash in Nigeria.
Just weeks after his return to the boxing ring with a knockout win over YouTube star Jake Paul, Joshua was involved in a devastating car crash that left two dead.
According to various reports, a vehicle carrying the two-time unified heavyweight champion collided with a stationary truck on the Ogun–Lagos state expressway on Monday morning.
Local media have revealed that Joshua was in the back of a vehicle when it collided with the truck, with pictures of the British fighter showing him sitting topless surrounded by what appears to be broken glass.

And now police have released an update confirming the full nature of Joshua's injuries from the crash.

In total, Joshua was one of five involved in the crash, with two unhurt while two others tragically lost their lives.
Thankfully it appears that Joshua has walked away from the incident relatively unharmed, with Police telling the BBC that Joshua had minor injuries but is "fine".
A later report added that the heavyweight boxer was "rescued alive and sustained minor injuries" and taken for "medical attention".
An update from the Federal Road Safety Corps in Nigeria revealed that a Lexus Jeep, which Joshua was sitting in the back seat of, was involved in the incident after travelling "beyond the legally prescribed speed limit".
Their update claims that the car lost control during "an overtaking manoeuvre" and crashed into a stationary truck by the side of the road.
The identities of the two people killed or which vehicle they were travelling in is yet to be revealed.

Following the news of the accident, Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, issued a statement confirming he was trying to reach out to the 36-year-old.
"I am away on a family holiday and awoke to the news of this incident," he told the Daily Mail.
"We are trying to contact Anthony and in the meantime we don’t want to speculate on how he is but thankfully he appears OK from what I have seen in the images."
Hearn added: "We are awaiting more information on what has happened and will update in due course."
