Anthony Joshua looks to be in career-best shape as he shows off remarkable physique ahead of return

Anthony Joshua has shown off his body ahead of facing Jermaine Franklin.

Anthony Joshua looks to be in remarkable physique ahead of his crunch heavyweight battle against Jermaine Franklin on Saturday.

Joshua makes his anticipated return this weekend as he takes on Franklin in the main-event of a big card from the O2 Arena.

The 33-year-old's back is against the wall, having lost his last two fights to Oleksandr Usyk, losing his world titles in the process.

Joshua has embarked on a new journey of his boxing career as he's now under the tutelage of Derrick James. He underwent his training camp away from London, preparing for his 28th professional bout in Texas.

And judging by his physique, James put 'AJ' through his paces. He's shared several pictures of himself in training on social media and is looking in great shape.

Joshua has never not looked in phenomenal shape, but his latest physique shows how serious he's taking Franklin and this part of his career.

The former unified world champion normally trains in Sheffield, but the fighter opted to take himself out of his comfort zone so he could be side-to-side with his new American coach.

And his promoter Eddie Hearn detailed the difference between the camps, revealing he trained at a 'humble' and a 'very small' gym.

"This camp have been very different to his others. They are chalk and cheese. At the EIS [England Institute of Sport] he's God really," the Matchroom chief said.

"He's an Olympic gold medalist and he's changed the face of British boxing and they roll out the red carpet every day for him at training.

"He didn't want that but it just became the way. This camp was very different. It was very humble house. He only had a couple of friends there and guys in camp.

"Then he was just with Derrick James. One sole trainer. He was in a very humble gym. A very small gym. He was just 1-on-1 with last year's trainer of the year."
