
The wrestling world and particularly the WWE can attract athletes from all around the world from different backgrounds, and once they leave the organisation, some lead totally different lives.
While fans of the WWE will be well aware of the most famous examples of John Cena and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson becoming film stars, Stuart Tomlinson returned to his life as a footballer after enjoying the life of being a wrestler for several years.
Now, footage has emerged of one former WWE star that lives a totally different life as a monk.
Rinku Singh Rajput, or Veer Mahaan, was an Indian wrestler who signed his first WWE contract with them in January 2018, and he would remain with the organisation until April 2024, when he was released from his deal.

A video online has shown Mahaan (Rinku Singh) dressed as a Hindu monk meeting with Maharaj ji, a spiritual leader, who tells him that without raising himself up spiritually, all the fame and fortune in life means nothing; it is hollow.

This has led fans to speculate if the former baseball player and WWE wrestler has renounced his worldly life, embraced celibacy and dedicated himself to spiritual pursuits like meditation, study and service.
Before he was a wrestler, he was a professional baseball player; in fact, he was the first Indian citizen to appear in a professional baseball game in the US in July 2009 with the Gulf Coast League Pirates.
He would continue his professional baseball career until November 2016 after having played for several teams across America.

Rinku Singh and fellow pitcher Dinesh Patel’s early baseball careers would be encapsulated in a Disney film as their stories were adapted into Million Dollar Arm.
The film stars Jon Hamm as J. B. Bernstein, Bill Paxton as pitching coach Tom House, Suraj Sharma as Singh, and Madhur Mittal as Patel.
While Singh has competed at the professional level of two of the highest-paid sports in the world, he has now taken the decision to renounce his worldly life, a move fans have found interesting.
