WWE appeared to have confirmed whether Brock Lesnar's retirement is legitimate after the Beast Incarnate left his boots and gloves in the ring at WrestleMania 42.
The former UFC heavyweight champion took on new star Oba Femi in night two's opening match at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
But Lesnar, arguably the most dominant wrestler of all-time, was beaten inside minutes in a passing of the torch moment.
The 48-year-old then stunned fans by removing his gloves and boots in the middle of the ring - a gesture that normally means a wrestler has retired and will not compete again.

Lesnar, who performed an X gesture, then shared an emotional embrace from long-time manager and mentor Paul Heyman and received a standing ovation from all corners of the stadium before walking to the back.
Heyman doubled down on Lesnar's status but one report from Fightful claimed that Lesnar's actions came as a surprise to many WWE officials.
In addition, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter said there are people in WWE who "believe he's not retiring yet".
Former WWE star CJ Perry, better known as Lana, believes Lesnar will return for big money in Saudi Arabia - while there is also some chatter about SummerSlam taking place in Lesnar's hometown of Minneapolis.

However, fans have noticed that Lesnar's profile has been moved to alumni section on the official WWE website. Lesnar now appears alongside a whole host of talents from the past, including Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods from the New Day group after their shock departure following a mutual agreement.
Lesnar debuted in WWE back in 2002 and exited two years later, trying out in the NFL and achieving huge success in the UFC.
He then returned in 2012 to attack John Cena - something that was mirrored in September at Wrestlepalooza when he made another surprise comeback at the expense of the 17-time world champion after a lengthy hiatus which followed on from named in a sex trafficking lawsuit against former owner Vince McMahon.
If Lesnar does have one more match, it may well come against Gunther, who has retired Goldberg, John Cena and AJ Styles in a dominant run.
In WWE storyline, he is owed a favour by Heyman after taking out Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.
