Rampage Jackson Takes Tough Stance Against Son Raja After Syko Stu Incident

UFC legend Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson shared his thoughts on his son's incident with Syko Stu.

Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson has explained why he has 'cut off' contact with his son, Raja Jackson, following the assault of Syko Stu at a wrestling event.

Syko Stu - real name Stuart Smith - was attacked by Raja, during an unplanned assault at an independent wrestling show in Los Angeles last month.

The 25-year-old, a professional MMA fighter, entered the ring, slammed Syko Stu onto the canvas and punched him repeatedly in the head, leaving him unconscious.

It was streamed live on Kick, resulting in a police investigation.

Syko Stu suffered a series of injuries as he issued a statement on social media in the wake of the shocking incident.

'Rampage' joined the Ariel Helwani show on Wednesday to share his thoughts on his son's actions.

He told Helwani that he has 'cut off' contact with his own son, explaining that Raja has 'dishonoured my name'.

Asked how Raja was doing, 'Rampage' replied: "I don't know. I don't talk to Raja no more. He went against what I told him to do and he hid that he got wrote into a professional wrestling story."

Surprised by his revelation, Helwani then asked: "Are you at all worried about his well being? I can't imagine what it would feel like to see my son do that. I also don't think I'd cut my son off.

"If you are worried about his well-being, why are you not talking to him?"

Ex-UFC champion Jackson replied: "Because he dishonoured my name. [But] I'm not cutting him off forever, I just haven't talked to him.

"I talked to him after the sh*t happened and he hid the fact that he did this. He put my other kids in danger and I just can't talk to him right now. I need some time."

He added: "Raja, I think that he should do a little [jail] time, do a little community service, and go to anger management class, get some therapy.

"I know my son. Raja wasn't trying to kill nobody. He wasn't trying to kill that guy. He wasn't trying to kill that guy."
