Former UFC champion Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson has released a heated statement online after claiming that some reactions to his son's brutal attack on wrestler Syko Stu were racist.

In a shocking moment during a Knokx Pro Wrestling event in Los Angeles, California last week, Raja Jackson, the 25-year-old son UFC legend Rampage, appeared to assault professional wrestler Stuart Smith .

The streamer entered the ring as Smith, who uses the ring name Syko Stu, was competing and slammed him onto the ground, knocking him out, before throwing more than a dozen unanswered punches to his head.

Since then, Rampage has spoken out on several occasions to address his son's actions and offer his best wishes to Smith and his family.

But now, the former UFC light heavyweight champion has released a furious statement on social media after previously claiming that some reactions to the attack had racist undertones.

Shortly after footage of the attack went viral online, popular online personality MMA Guru reacted by calling Raja a "dumb animal with no impulse control."

Clearly unhappy with this, Rampage took to his kick channel to respond to the YouTuber, saying: "There's ignorant people on the internet, I understand that, but people like MMA Guru, he's supposed to be some kind of journalist and his racism came out.

"Some people f**k up, some people do sh*t. It shouldn’t get turned into race. I don’t want to repeat what he said, but he showed his racism.”

Rampage's claim was met with backlash online, with Guru claiming that his 'victim mindset' is what led to Raja's actions, labelling the former UFC star as a 'failure of a father.'

This lead to Rampage releasing a angry statement on social media platform X, responding to the backlash from fans by declaring that he will love his son regardless of the outcome of the ongoing legal investigation.

Posting on X, he wrote: "Say what you want about me, twist my words all you want, hopefully none of your kids fuck up bad enough to have people judge your parenting.

"When all is said and done, when justice takes place no matter what happens I’ll still be a parent that loves ALL his kids.

"I’m allowed to complain about the racism, two human beings were involved in this incident. But hey it’s the internet be yourself."
