Everton vs Manchester United ones to watch (Premier League): the key battle highlighted ahead of crunch fixture

Who should fans look out for during Everton vs Manchester United in the Premier League?

Manchester United against Everton at Goodison Park has not been a fixture with great memories in recent seasons for United fans.

The Red Devils failed to beat Everton last season, drawing 1-1 at Old Trafford and losing 1-0 at Merseyside in April.

Manchester United's Premier League form this season has had lots of ups and downs, with a four-game winning streak coming to an end against Manchester City last weekend.

Both clubs will be looking to get three points as their hunt for stability in the league continues.

Here are Ones to Watch from each team ahead of the clash:

Manchester United: Anthony Martial

Anthony Martial has been a bright spark in the last two games, having a huge impact off the bench.

Martial led the charge in the second half against Manchester City last weekend, scoring twice to claw back some dignity in a United side that was decimated by Pep Guardiola's men.

He also helped completely changing the match on Thursday evening against Omonia in the Europa League, scoring the side's second goal in a match which ultimately led to victory after a flat first half.

Despite Anthony Martial not starting either fixture, he has been instrumental to United whenever he has played and coupled with his brilliant record against Everton, should he start, Martial will be one to look out for.

Everton: Jordan Pickford

Everton boast an incredible defensive record this season.

After narrowly avoiding relegation last campaign, Everton have started this one comparatively strong, and have only conceded seven goals so far.

One large reason for this is due to current England No.1, Jordan Pickford.

Pickford has made 31 saves so far this campaign - the fourth highest among Premier League goalkeepers this season, and only two fewer than Dean Henderson, who sits at the top on 33.

Should Martial start against Everton, he and Pickford could potentially be engaged in an entertaining battle of wits as a striker on red hot form meets a goalkeeper who has impressed greatly so far this season.

The match is due to kick off on Sunday evening as the final fixture of game week nine in the Premier League.
