Manchester United vs West Ham United ones to watch: Who should fans look out for in the Premier League fixture?

Manchester United look to continue their good run of performances with a win over West Ham United that would make their league position extremely strong.

Erik ten Hag’s side in recent weeks have been performing at a higher level than nearly every other team in the Premier League.

A couple of unlucky draws against Newcastle United and Chelsea should not gloss over just how good United have been, and a big win in midweek against Sheriff should boost United’s confidence in front of goal as they welcome a side known for their defensive strength.

Here, UtdDistrict look at one player to watch from each side:

Manchester United - Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford in recent weeks has been doing absolutely everything but scoring, with a mix of bad luck and poor finishing seeing him go on a five game goal drought.

But in midweek that changed, with Rashford finally finding the back of the net with a header - something he has notoriously struggled with through his career.

He has shone for United this season, with Erik ten Hag bringing him back to some of his best form, and West Ham will be a good chance for him to cash in on some accumulated xG.

He is also just one goal away from his 100th senior goal in Red Devil colours.

West Ham United - Gianluca Scamacca

Linked with Manchester United throughout the summer, the 6’5 Italian bears a lot of similarity to a Swedish striker of the same height that Old Trafford is more than familiar with.

Possessing remarkable technical quality for his height, Scamacca is a real all-round threat and whoever plays at centre-back for United this season is going to be in for a very tough time against him.

West Ham have many good players, but Scamacca is probably the most threatening of all. Having joined the Hammers for just £35m, will he make United regret not going for him?
