Jon Jones has called out Brock Lesnar after the former UFC heavyweight champion became a free agent following the end of his WWE deal.

Lesnar, 43, has cut ties with WWE after failing to agree a new contract with a return to MMA potentially on the cards.

And Jones, who announced his move to heavyweight last week, is ready to welcome Lesnar back to the Octagon.

On Twitter, he wrote: "Brock I'll beatcho ass too."

Jones vs. Lesnar has been talked up before with Kurt Angle claiming the ex-wrestling star wants to go out against 'Bones'.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani in 2019, he said: "I know he said that he's retired.

"The one fight he wants, and I don't know if it's ever going to happen, but he wants to go up against Jon Jones."

But the former UFC light-heavyweight champion believes he'd take out Lesnar with ease if they met inside the cage.

"He knows that's what his friends want to hear, but he doesn't really want this fight. Trust me," he stated.

"Brock is way too slow, I'll embarrass him."

Tony Ferguson has already offered his services to Lesnar if the monstrous bout with Jones comes to fruition.

"That's A Fight I Would Love To Help In Camp. Train Side By Side Like Old Times W/ Coach Lesnar Again # CountMeIn," he wrote in response to Jones' tweet.

Lesnar coached Ferguson on The Ultimate Fighter 13.

Lesnar, meanwhile, hasn't fought in the UFC since July 2016. He beat Mark Hunt at UFC 200 but the result was overturned after he failed a post-fight drug test.

Jones, on the other hand, last fought in February when he narrowly outpointed Dominick Reyes to defend his UFC light-heavyweight title.
