Paddy Pimblett breaks his silence on Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje conspiracy drama with brutal verdict
UFC lightweight contender Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett has offered his brutally honest verdict on Ilia Topuria’s claims that Justin Gaethje used ‘loaded gloves’ during the pair’s fight at UFC Freedom 250.
Last week, Topuria confirmed that he had been medically cleared to fight again after sustaining a brutal beating at the hands of Gaethje back in June.
The Spanish-Georgian quit on his stool between rounds four and five and was visibly battered and bruised, with it later emerging that he had suffered two broken orbital bones.
The now-former lightweight champion was initially graceful in defeat, congratulating Gaethje on his performance.

Topuria accuses Gaethje of cheating
However, in recent weeks, the 29-year-old has made several outlandish statements about Gaethje on social media.
In one tweet, he wrote: “Final medical tests done. I’m back. To all the clowns who’ve been talking shit and counting me out this whole time, here I am. Now let’s see who’s got the balls. Thanks to everyone for the support. Next time I’ll make sure they check Justin’s gloves so he doesn’t put anything weird on them. See you soon.”
The theory was first put forward by fight fans after UFC Freedom 250, with many suggesting this was the reason Topuria’s face was so damaged.
There is nothing to suggest Gaethje is guilty of any wrongdoing.
Gaethje responds to Topuria cheating claims
The American has already been forced to address the claims, even describing them as a “compliment” during an appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast.
“People saying I’m juiced, what a compliment,” he said. “People saying I’ve got bricks in my f—king gloves, what a compliment.”
Meanwhile, directly responding to Topuria’s X post, he wrote: “94 days, and the best you could come up with is a lame excuse. As terrible as your last performance. Do better, kid.”
A video of Gaethje walking through an airport also surfaced last week, with ‘The Highlight’ saying: “People don't believe that. I've done that to everybody's face that I fought. Am I willing to [rematch him]? I just beat the sh*t out of him, of course I would.”
Pimblett slams ‘sore loser’ Topuria
Topuria has since been slammed by his long-term rival, Pimblett, who also lost to Gaethje at UFC 324.
In a YouTube video, Pimblett accused Topuria of being a ‘sore loser’, making it clear that he believes Gaethje did nothing wrong.
“Ilia is trying to say that he had stuff in his gloves, which he definitely never,” Pimblett said.
“You know, the commission watch you get your hands wrapped. I think he’s just being a sore loser, lads, and being a little b—- about it.”
