Raoni Barcelos has issued an update on his health after collapsing following his knockout defeat to Raul Rosas Jr at UFC Vegas 121.
Barcelos, 39, was brutally knocked out in the fifth round of the contest after a war with his opponent.
As Rosas Jr attempted a takedown, Barcelos appeared to go limp before medics rushed to attend to him.
He was later stretchered out of the cage and travelled to hospital in Vegas, where he reportedly underwent an immediate CT scan.

“Hey, guys, I want to let you all know that I'm doing great and as soon as I can I will send you all a video!" Barcelos wrote.
“Thank you so much for everyone's love and prayers! I promised a great fight and I fulfilled what I promised. Thank you God and everyone who fought together with me inside and out of that cage.”
‘Oh, this is really bad’ – Paul Felder recalls ‘scary’ moment
The update will be positively received by Rosas Jr, fight fans and commentator Paul Felder, who described the incident as the “scariest thing” he’d ever seen at a UFC event.
“His neck was all clinched up, and he was unconscious,” Felder said on Michael Bisping’s Believe You Me podcast.
“And it looked like he was — I thought he had a heart attack, off the bat. Then they came in, and they checked his pulse, which was terrifying to see. I have never seen somebody that was KO’d, where they come in and the first thing they did, the doctor put his fingers right on Raoni’s pulse. I was like, ‘Oh, this is really bad.’
“He was just not getting up, and then I’m thinking, is it a stroke? Is it a heart attack? But if they weren’t doing CPR and his pulse was at least there and present, and he’s breathing, probably not a heart attack.
“That was by far the scariest thing I’ve had — I’ve seen some nasty knockouts, guys out for a while, but they come to. To see somebody where the doctors are checking your pulse, it just kind of really puts it in perspective, too, what this sport is at its roots.”

UFC issue statement on Raoni Barcelos
The UFC had earlier released a statement confirming that he had been transported to a medical facility for a CT scan.
“Following his fight tonight, Raoni Barcelos was immediately transported to a Level 1 trauma center for evaluation,” the statement from the UFC read.
“The hospital medical team conducted a CT scan and comprehensive assessment, and he is currently being monitored.
“Barcelos is stable, alert and responsive, with full movement. He will remain under medical supervision.
“We will provide updates on his condition as they become available.”
The reason for Barcelos losing consciousness remains unclear.
