Conor McGregor is named as GOAT of the featherweight division despite never successfully defending his title.

The 'Notorious' would eventually move up to lightweight and win that title while also having two fights at welterweight.

Longtime rival Khabib Nurmagomedov takes the crown as lightweight king after retiring with a perfect 29-0 record.

Current welterweight and heavyweight champions Kamaru Usman and Francis Ngannou are named top of their divisions, while Jon Jones is light heavyweight's standout.

Demetrius Johnson, Henry Cejudo and Anderson Silva make up the difference in flyweight, bantamweight and middleweight respectively.

Fans have reacted to the decisions and they haven't fully agreed with James' picks.

One fan said: "Okay I lost all belief in the seriousness of this when I seen FW goat."

A second added: "I was about to come at you for the Cejudo then I saw the 145 and realized it was a joke."

Someone else said: "This is such a casual list, I can't believe someone believes it lol."

While a fourth suggested: "Clearly you're new to the sport and just started watching during this era... sheeshh."

Khabib himself was asked about the GOAT debate by ESPN and named six fighters alongside himself.

The Dagestani fighter said: "After that moment, 24th of October, 2020, I was on the top. After that, what happened I don't care.

"I don't want to put my name like, call me greatest of all time. No, I am one of the greatest of all time.

"I am on one level with Fedor, Anderson Silva, Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier, Demetrious Johnson, Georges St-Pierre.

"I am on one level. I don't wanna call this guy greatest, he's number two, he's number three. One of the best."
