Conor McGregor continued his heated rivalry with Dustin Poirier with his latest tirade on social media and then deleted the tweets.

In January, McGregor decided to take a nice approach to his second fight with Poirier but for the third fight last Saturday the gloves were definitely off, almost literally as the Irishman got his fingers inside his opponent's gloves.

McGregor lost at UFC 264 thanks to his broken leg at the end of the first round, but even being sat on the octagon floor at the end of the loss didn't stop the Irishman taking shots at his rival.

In typical fashion, the former two weight champion hasn't let surgery and a return to the real world stop him from taking shots and in his latest social media tirade he claimed he was a 'dangerous man' before deleting tweets.

The Notorious has repeatedly made claims about, and threats towards, his rival's family since the loss was confirmed, by doctor's stoppage.

Whilst being interviewed by Joe Rogan in the post fight interview, the 32-year-old claimed that Poirier's wife had 'been in his DMs,' leading her to flip him the bird.

Footage then showed him threatening the Diamond, and his spouse, claiming he was going to 'kill them in their sleep.'

McGregor's first great rivalry was with Jose Aldo but the intensity really stepped up for his feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Things between him and Poirier are now reminiscent of how bad things got with the Russian and at this point the main difference is that he hasn't thrown anything at a bus which Poirier is on.

It will be interesting to see how much worse things get between the two fighters, with Dana White saying there would be a fourth fight in the future.
