Donald Trump has made a bizarre comparison between the UFC stage plonked on the White House's South Lawn and the Eiffel Tower.
UFC will hold its Freedom 250 celebration of the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence at the White House on June 14.
The promotion has a Fight Night card scheduled for Las Vegas on Saturday before it takes over the seat of American democracy in a dignified and understated manner eight days later.
Trump, the President of the United States of America and leader of the free world, announced the violent garden party last summer but is not expected to personally appear on the fight card.

Instead, Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje will meet in the main event with the UFC lightweight championship on the line.
The interim heavyweight belt will be up for grabs when Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane clash in the octagon at the top of the undercard.
Ever conscious of the solemn and serious role of government, Trump is threatening to make the UFC stage a permanent installation on the South Lawn.
"People don't know that in Paris, France, the Eiffel Tower, 1889 it was built," said Trump in a TikTok video, as reported by ABC News.
"It was supposed to be taken down immediately after the world's fair, and then they said: 'Leave it up a little bit longer, and then they said, 'let's leave it up longer and longer and longer.'
"Well, they never took it down, and you know we're building something in front of the White House that's quite attractive to a lot of people. Really, it's going to have the big UFC fight on June 14, and I'm looking at it and maybe we'll never ever take it down."
If the United States ever has another president, that view might change.
UFC Freedom 250 is 11 days away
UFC's arena is topped by a rigging canopy emblazoned tastefully in stars and stripes, a four-poster temporary architectural delight reminiscent of WCW Road Wild.
The Eiffel Tower was built over two years out of wrought iron and stands over the Champ de Mars park in Paris. It's one of France's 54 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and stands at a height of 330 metres.
Engineer Gustav Eiffel opened the tower for the 1899 World's Fair by unfurling an enormous flag and it was built to mark the anniversary of the French Revolution, perhaps proving once and for all that the Eiffel Tower is exactly like some ostentatious television staging.
Trump did not confirm whether the technical equipment installed in the roof above the scaffolding would remain on site.
