Jon Jones pulled no punches in destroying UFC's pound-for-pound rankings after being bumped down behind rival Israel Adesanya.

Jones hasn't fought since his victory over Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 back in February 2020.

His inactivity has seen him drop down the UFC pound-for-pound rankings, with UFC welterweight king Kamaru Usman now ranked No.1.

The latest rankings has the former UFC light-heavyweight champion as the FOURTH ranked fighter in the promotion.

So, he's behind the aforementioned Usman as well as UFC featherweight title holder Alexander Volkanovski and UFC middleweight champion Adesanya.

And 'Bones' did not take too kindly to finding out his position in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings, branding it 'silly' in a furious rant on social media.

In a dig at Adesanya, he tweeted: "When your ranked over Jon Jones on a pound for pound list but know you can't defend a take down."

In another tweet, he wrote: "It's funny seeing people have the satisfaction of being ranked over me when I'm not even competing. Just take me off that silly list."

Another tweet reads: "I find it rather interesting that I'm not seeing any of these heavyweights talking shit. No comments on my troubles. It's the fellows who either wouldn't fight me or who's ass I've already kicked who seem to be the loudest. Funny how that works."

Jones, meanwhile, appears set to face the winner of the UFC heavyweight championship undisputed clash between Francis Ngannou and Ciryl Gane.

Ngannou vs. Gane headlines UFC 270 next year.
