YouTube star MrBeast paid a man $250,000 to live in a gym and lose 100lbs inside a year - and the results after just two months are eye-opening.

MrBeast - real name Jimmy Donaldson - has the most popular channel on the video-sharing platform, with a staggering 390 million subscribers.

The channel, which has previously collaborated with Cristiano Ronaldo, is known for producing videos which give viewers the chance to win huge amounts of money or be paid to complete a particular challenge.

For his latest video, MrBeast offered one viewer a cool $250,000 - on the proviso that they live inside a gym for an entire year and lose a total of 100lbs.

A special camera room would be monitoring his progress 24/7 - partially to ensure that he did in fact stay in the gym.

He has done similar challenges before, which two viewers once locked inside an isolation chamber for 100 days to win $250,000 each.

After introducing his latest video, MrBeast asked the man inside the gym a series of questions about the challenge he was about to undertake.

He said that, around every 30 days, he would be weighed until he managed to lose 100 pounds.

But he would also be offered the opportunity of a challenge every 30 days, in order to win more than the $250,000 offered.

MrBeast detailed that the challenge was to perform push-ups, with every push-up earning him an extra $1,000.

The man revealed, that in his 30 days, he had already lost a total of 20lbs, with another weigh-in to take place on day 61.

In the meantime, he agreed to play a board game with MrBeast to pass the time, with it being unclear as to how much mobile phone usage he will have during the year-long gym stay.

The video is yet to be released on YouTube, with MrBeast stating that it could be some time in 2026 when it is completed - unless the man can lose 100lbs much faster. At this rate, he might just do so.
