The Rock Claims He Came Close To Hitting The Longest Golf Drive Ever Recorded

On a week by week basis, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson continues to make us feel like useless, weak human-beings.

'The People's Champ' is known for being good at pretty much everything, and one of his Instagram posts has once again proven his super-human powers.

It turns out Dwayne can hit a golf ball really, really far - so far in fact that he was close to breaking the world record for the longest drive ever recorded.

The 48-year-old claimed that he smacked a golf ball 490-yards while shooting scenes for his TV show Ballers.

A number of people, including golfer John Daly, have since questioned his comments.

Daly told TMZ Sports that The Rock's claims are "highly unlikely" but he clearly has underestimated the sheer size of this guy's arms.

"Well, I think to hit it 490 yards, I [want to] know if he hit a sprinkler head, or a cart path." he said.

"I'm saying it's highly unlikely [Rock did it], because I've seen the biggest and the baddest drivers in the world that can hit it almost 400 yards. If he can hit it 490 straight, he needs to get on the PGA Tour ... I'd have to see it to believe it.

"Now, we know he's strong enough to do it and if I had that body, I'd be hitting it 490 yards myself ... but my motto is, 'I don't work out. I put out.'"

If we're talking about longest drives, then Louis Oosthuizen has to get a mention.

The South African golfer smacked a 500-yard drive at the Ballantine's Championship in Korea back in 2013 but there's a reason why it was so long.

The ball actually landed on a path and continued to roll for a number of minutes. It was even claimed that the ball was still moving when Oosthuizen arrived at the scene.

Somehow, he didn't manage to make Birdie on the hole.

It's no surprise that Dwayne Johnson can hit a ball so far.

The wrestler turned actor eats roughly 10 pounds of food every day and his seven daily meals include a total of 2.3 pounds of cod and 12 eggs, plus steak and chicken.

On top of that he also manages to eat two potatoes, some vegetables and mountains of rice. What a beast.
