The top 12 currently unemployed managers named and ranked

Mauricio Pochettino, Zinedine Zidane and Rafael Benitez are among the best currently unemployed managers, according to a report.

Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport have named their best 12 currently unemployed managers, with former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel coming out on top.

The German was sacked earlier this month following Chelsea's 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.

But La Gazzetta dello Sport rank him as the best currently employed manager ahead of former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino and ex-Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane.

Rafael Benitez, whose last job was at Everton, Paulo Sousa, Claudio Ranieri and Marcelo Bielsa are ranked fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.

Jorge Sampaoli, Joachim Low and former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer make up the top ten.

It remains to be seen how long the aforementioned managers will be out of a job for, with Tuchel and Pochettino linked with managerial gigs.

Reports claim Tuchel is 'much appreciated' by the German giants, while Pochettino is being eyed by Nice.
