Liverpool have reportedly identified three players they will pursue this summer if they fail to sign RB Leipzig left winger Yan Diomande.
Less than one month into Andoni Iraola’s reign as Liverpool manager, the Reds’ summer plans are already taking shape.
On Wednesday (June 17), it was widely reported that the Reds had hijacked Newcastle United’s pursuit of Osasuna winger Victor Munoz by triggering the Spaniard’s €40 million (£34.6 million) release clause.
The 22-year-old played for Barcelona and Real Madrid at youth level before going on to make two senior appearances for Los Blancos.

Despite adding a winger to their ranks, with Munoz able to play on both flanks, Liverpool will continue their pursuit of RB Leipzig and Ivory Coast star Diomande, with Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain also keen on the player. The competition is expected to influence his price tag.
The Bundesliga club reportedly value the player at more than £100 million.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, journalist Fabrizio Romano explained how Diomande remains Liverpool’s priority.
“Diomande is one of the options who remains on the list,” he said.
"I would still mention a name that I have been mentioning for the last few months regarding Liverpool, and it's a name I want to keep there.
"It's not something new because, if you follow the channel, you know I am always mentioning him, but Bradley Barcola remains a player appreciated by Liverpool.”
Diomande is contracted to Leipzig until 2030, while Barcola’s PSG deal runs until 2028.
However, should Liverpool pull out of the race for Diomande, they reportedly have three alternatives they could pursue instead.

As reported by Ben Jacobs, Liverpool are also monitoring Köln's Said El Mala, Brighton’s Yankuba Minteh and Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo, with the trio’s pace thought to be a key criterion.
Minteh is the only player on the list with Premier League experience, with the 21-year-old Gambian registering 10 goals and nine assists in 73 appearances for the Seagulls since his move from Newcastle United.
Minteh is under contract at the Amex until 2029.
Fernandez-Pardo, also 21, has impressed in Ligue 1 since joining Lille from Belgium’s Gent in 2024.
The Belgian, who is under contract at Lille until 2029, can play across the front line, having produced 12 goals and 11 assists in 71 appearances for the French club.
Aston Villa are also reportedly keen on bringing Fernandez-Pardo to the Premier League.
El Mala, a Germany youth international, is the youngest player on the shortlist at 19. The Köln star registered 13 goals and five assists in 36 appearances for the Bundesliga side last term and is under contract until 2030.
