Wrexham will be forced to sell seven players due to a strict Championship rule as Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac target two more 'key' additions.
Wrexham have been busy this summer ahead of their Championship campaign in the upcoming season.
They have recruited the likes of Lewis O'Brien from Nottingham Forest, Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle and Josh Windass following his release from Sheffield Wednesday.
The Welsh club even attempted to sign a former Manchester United midfielder, who was impressed by the proposal.
More signings are on the cards, with a report from The Athletic claiming two more 'key' transfers are being eyed.
And there's the possibility of further additions if Phil Parkinson wants to further refresh in other positions.
But in order to comply with EFL regulations, a 'sizeable clear out' is inevitable.

As it stands, Wrexham have 30 players despite the departures of Paul Mullin, Will Boyle, Luke Bolton and Luke McNicholas.
So, they must sell up to seven players to be in line with EFL regulations.
Per the report, the club have eight senior strikers on their books, including Jake Bickerstaff who has recently been on trial at Cheltenham Town, along with another eight central midfielders and four left wing-backs.
These numbers have been described as 'unsustainable'.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac are planning more signings ahead of the new season. Image: Getty Offloading players won't be easy, however, as Wrexham's promotion last season is likely to have meant a further wage rise across the squad.
That means some of the fringe players may have to be paid to leave, while others may 'strike deals on transfer fees to allow the purchasing club to offer wages more on a par with what Wrexham pay'.
Who have Wrexham signed this summer?
Wrexham have splashed the cash during the transfer window as they eye a fourth consecutive promotion.
Parkinson has recruited goalkeeper Danny Ward, defender Liberato Cacace, midfielder George Thomason as well as the aforementioned Hardie, O'Brien and Windass.
More signings are planned ahead of the club's Championship opener against Southampton on August 9.
