Matthias Jaissle's first Newcastle game features crazy touchline brawl as Anthony Elanga stretchered off
Matthias Jaissle's first game in charge of Newcastle was a spicy and eventful one after the Magpies and Valencia engaged in a mini-brawl.
Jaissle, who replaced Eddie Howe at the helm following his shock exit, was on the touchline for the first time for a friendly at the Mestalla Stadium.
And he showed his passion and intensity when he witnessed a horrific challenge on winger Anthony Elanga just yards away.
Los Che skipper Jose Gaya dived in dangerously on the Swede when he had the ball on the right flank, leaving him writhing around in agony.

Jaissle was livid and charged over to the linesman demanding a red card, which was then given by the referee but not before a melee involving both sets of players.
Elanga, who had a bright start to the game, received medical treatment but required a stretcher and had to be replaced by Jacob Murphy.
Having seen the state of the tackle and the pain that Elanga was in, Newcastle fans feared the worst for the former Manchester United winger's fitness and predicted a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
However, in a promising update, Craig Hope of the Daily Mail reported that the injury is not thought to be serious.
According to the journalist, Elanga was up and walking about. He appears to have suffered bruising to his shin as opposed to a break or any type of ligament injury.
Newcastle were trailing 1-0 after Filip Ugrinic curled home four minutes in from around 25 yards out.
But Yoane Wissa scored a brace to turn things around and give Jaissle a winning start to life with Newcastle.
Newcastle's summer plans have been far from smooth, with Howe departing along with key players Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes.
They have brought in a total of five new players, including Bazoumana Toure from Hoffenheim for a fee of £43 million.
Next up for the Toon is a friendly with Everton on Wednesday at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, before they take on both Bayer Leverkusen and Strasbourg to complete preparations for the new Premier League campaign.
